Willow Room Director

Lisa Scott

Lisa has worked with children from one to fourteen years of age in a variety of settings over 30+ years. Most recently, Lisa has spent the last five years as a Lead Primary teacher in Keene, NH where she has lived for the past 16 years.

Lisa began her Montessori journey as a Montessori parent when the first of her four children began attending a Montessori program in 2003. In 2011, Lisa became a substitute teacher in her youngest daughter’s Primary classroom and stayed on to be a classroom Assistant. Lisa has a Master’s Degree in family, marriage, and child counseling, and an American Montessori Society (AMS) Early Childhood Certification.  Lisa follows the “whole child” approach to working with children and believes in the importance of sharing peace education in the classroom. She finds working in a Montessori classroom very rewarding as it gives her the opportunity to connect with children and guide them towards becoming innovative, creative, and independent thinkers. Lisa enjoys music, reading, yoga, nature walks, and spending time with her family. She is excited to be joining a Montessori school with solid programs from Toddler through Middle School!
