Izzy Snyder is joining Hilltop in Fall 2023 as an Upper Elementary assistant. In this role, she will provide one-on-one and small group support to students, help create Montessori teaching materials, and assist the teachers in group lessons. An alumna of Hilltop herself, she recently graduated Oberlin College in May of 2023 with a bachelor’s degree in computer science. Her experiences teaching printmaking at a Montessori-inspired summer camp and tutoring computer science students at Oberlin instilled her with a passion for education, and she is excited to apply and grow these skills in the Upper Elementary classroom. During her free time, Izzy can be found birdwatching, doing jigsaw puzzles, walking in the woods, and diving into elaborate art projects.
