Corina was raised in the Brattleboro area and went to Saint Michaels School until 6th grade. Her family moved to Oklahoma at age 12, where she completed her education. Corina’s mother opened a daycare center soon after moving to Oklahoma, where she worked after school in high school, and thus began her journey of working with children.
Corina moved back to the Brattleboro area in 1989 and found employment at Brattleboro Hospital’s daycare center. From there she worked as a Nanny, as well as a classroom support in a special education classroom.
Corina became curious in 1995 and decided to explore the medical field. She received her certificate in Phlebotomy, but soon grew bored spending most of her time in a lab.
In 2006 Corina decided to try her hand at business and opened a thrift store. However, although a fun and profitable adventure, two years into it, she knew she was destined to work with children. Corina closed the store and has been working with children since!
For the past 20+ years Corina has gained experience and skill working with children age 5-17 in residential as well as day programs and school settings, specializing in diagnosis of ASD, ODD, ADHD anxiety, depression and trauma. Her passion is teaching therapeutic recreation, using activity based interventions to address disabling conditions.
Corina and her husband Ben live in the Brattleboro area. They have two grown sons, Alex and Evan. In her leisure time, Corina enjoys family BBQ’s, kayaking, exercising, meditating, nature, snow storms, Friday nights, and life in general!
