Chloe earned her Bachelor’s degree in Photography and Fine Arts from Purdue University. Throughout college she nannied for two young boys from the age of two until they were five. She quickly realized her love for working with young children during this time. Shortly after college, she joined her family who had relocated to North Carolina, where she met her husband.
Some time later, Chloe found herself in Denver, Colorado coaching soccer for kids. It was such a positive experience, that she began to pursue a career in early childhood education. Having gone to a Montessori preschool herself, she quickly became enamored with the Montessori philosophy, and found employment as an assistant at Cornerstone Montessori School. She took a few years off to help with her family’s brewery and explore the southeast but before long, she began teaching once more at Athens Montessori School. This reignited her love for teaching and she set out to attain her American Montessori Society (AMS) Early Childhood Teacher’s certification at Montessori Teacher Education Institute of Atlanta.
When Chloe is not in the classroom she enjoys all things art. From creating collages with photography, painting and other materials, to sewing and knitting, she always loves learning new art skills. She also enjoys playing soccer, yoga, hiking, camping and is looking forward to exploring the area to discover a new state and continue her passion of the Montessori philosophy here at Hilltop!
