Montessori Math! Does your student come home talking about the stamp game, the checkerboard, the racks and tubes, and you wonder what in the world they are talking about? Do you wonder why are there so many different math materials, and what do they do? Join classroom teachers on Saturday, February 4th for a presentation and discussion about how we employ the Montessori approach to math in our classrooms. Curriculum Morning is one of our most important parent education events of the year, and we strongly encourage you to attend. This is an important opportunity to learn more about a fundamental part of Montessori philosophy and curriculum.
We will be offering children’s programming on Saturday, February 4th, so that parents can attend curriculum morning.Ellen and Kristina from Bonnyvale Environmental Education Center (BEEC) are planning on providing games and activities from the Winter World programs. There will be two groups that will be exploring the winter environment around our campus, so please make sure that you provide warm clothing as well as snacks and water for the morning. If the weather is not great the two groups will meet inside the arts barn.
Winter World: Let’s explore the amazing world of winter. We’ll investigate animal winter survival strategies, birds in wintertime, animal tracking, finding shelter, and play games that mimic their winter behaviors.
If you are planning on attending curriculum morning and will need care for your child please RSVP with the Front Desk so we have an accurate headcount.
