We loved seeing the turnout of staff, engaged parents, neighbors, and interested community members at our Pie Day Open Board Meeting. The pies were delicious and the opportunity to get to know each other further was so much fun!
The content and direct purpose of the meeting involved two parts:
- Sharing information about board service and inviting new Trustee Candidates. Much of the information provided is also on the Board of Trustees page of the Hilltop Website. We are always looking for potential Board members from many areas of our community . If you are interested in learning more please contact any of the Board members, or specifically Avery Schwenk from the Committee on Trustees. If you would like to be considered for Board service, please fill out the Trustee candidate Information Form, which can be found on the website. Hard copies are also available at the Front Desk. Please submit your form by April 1st to be considered for this year’s slate of candidates.
- Unveiling the new Strategic Plan! After a year and a half of collaboration and hard work–including significant participation from many of you–the HMS Board of Trustees is happy to introduce our 2024 Strategic Plan. We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude for your valuable input and support along the way! Our strategic goals are organized around pillars of Evolution, Student Experience, and Family Experience, underpinned with central themes of equity, justice, and inclusion; sustainability; and Montessori pedagogy.
Next Steps for the Strategic Plan
Now comes the fun part! We will be putting some of your great ideas into action. We are looking for community members to join committees to explore many of the topics identified in the Strategic Plan. These committees will be a relatively small time commitment with the opportunity to have a big impact on our school community.
