Paint the Sky Festival
On Saturday, October 3rd, Hilltop Montessori School officially celebrated its new campus with its Paint-the-Sky Festival, a family-friendly event for the whole community. The festival took place at 120 Summit Circle in Brattleboro. The public was cordially invited to create, decorate and launch beautiful kites, balloons, bubbles and other sky-bound delights. The free festival included food and games, a ribbon-cutting ceremony, and tours of the new campus.
Benefit Auction
Two days before the Friends of Hilltop Benefit Auction, an intrepid committee of creative parents began decorating the Brattleboro Museum and Art Center using recycled materials. This group set out with the task of decorating the space with "champagne taste on a Kool-Aid budget". By Friday morning their job was complete, the interior space was truly transformed, allowing the Auction Committee to arrange each table with fantastic items donated generously by local and faraway donors.
Heifer Parade
More than 80 parents and kids from the Hilltop Montessori School marched in the Strolling of the Heifers parade in Brattleboro, Vermont on June 7, 2008 to celebrate the school’s launch of a ‘Save Our Soil’ composting and soil studies project funded with a generous grant from the Heifers Foundation.
